Amazing sledding, for kids, teens, and adults. Could benefit from a few hay-bales to mitigate hazards, but it's actually a very gentle grade that makes it unlikely beginners would build up too much speed. There is a tiny brook at the end of the runout, but not an actual problem. Plenty of parking at the top of the hill, by tennis courts & amphitheater.
I came to Mason District Park via Geocaching. Looks like lots of activities here, but just a soccer game going on when I got here. Really nice little park. There are some really nice trails. A bit steeper than what my legs wanted to navigate, but we came to a compromise, and went about halfway. Downhill coming back was much easier. Watch for roots and other stumbling objects. The little lake was very pretty, but it made me wanna find a bag and a grabber and get all of that trash out of it. Lots of parking.
Great big park! Turf field, baseball field, soccer fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, trails, playground, grilling area, shelter with bathrooms. Everything you need Mason District has it. Plenty of parking. There's also an amphitheater and puts on multiple concerts. Great family park all around!
A huge park in Annandale next to Columbia Pike with various sports fields, lovely amphitheater, historic sites and hiking trails. It is a refreshing and relaxing oasis in the bustling urban area.
Day after the rain. Everything was pretty wet. Good thing we brought wipes and paper towels. Looks like it might be under construction. Sunday mornings are very quiet at 10 am, however an hour later the park starts to fill up. Plenty of …
The park is huge and nice. The restroom is clean. The dog park is so big.
Over 3 miles of wooded trails, open space, streams and a pond, bbq picnic tables and shelters, turf soccer field, LL baseball and softball fields, a dogpark, 200 seat ampitheater w/ restrooms, and tennis courts.
Nice park - renovated and well-maintained baseball field and soccer field, nice two tier playground with a swings, rock climbing, and playground structure. Pond with adorable turtles, dog park, and trails.
Mason District has a great farmers market on Thursdays. The playground has enough variety to entertain multiple kids but small enough that you're not going to wonder where they are. It also has a great picnic area by the playground.
Nice park for a picnic or for sports. Large fields - soccer, baseball, softball, frisbee, etc. Plenty of fee parking. Bathroom on site. The area is taken care of.
